We at the GBC-Strategic Planning Team have one motivation: To serve you.<\/p>\n
We started this present service of communicating with the ISKCON world out of concern for how our devotees were dealing with the Coronavirus. We were convinced that the best approach to the virus was to \u201cerr on the side of caution\u201d and encourage devotees to take precautions. In many places in Srila Prabhupada\u2019s books there are descriptions of how rare and special devotees are. We didn\u2019t want to see any of our devotees unnecessarily suffer, what to speak of leave this world. <\/p>\n
Regarding this rarity Prabhupada said: \u201cYou have to spend or waste gallons of blood before you can convert a person to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a consciousness. It is so difficult task.\u201d And we know, regarding devotee\u2019s health, Prabhupada signed over 2000 of his letters, \u201cI hope this meets you in good health\u201d<\/p>\n
Thus, we expanded our team to include devotees who are expert and experienced in various parts of the medical profession. They researched and analyzed articles before we posted them. We also provided you with video interviews with accomplished and knowledgeable devotee-doctors. All in the service of keeping you, our ISKCON devotees, as safe as is possible. <\/p>\n
We have been so pained by the reports of devotees getting the virus, and especially those leaving their body or having long-term debilitating effects. As the virus continues or gets worse in many parts of the world, you can expect periodic reminders from us imploring you to remain cautious as we enter the new calendar year.<\/p>\n
As April turned to May, we realized that we could offer services beyond the cautions surrounding Covid-19. We heard, and experienced ourselves, the challenges we face dealing with the restricted environment created by the pandemic. Thus, we began our service of regular live broadcasts aimed at serving the spiritual and practical needs of ISKCON devotees. We pray that this has been of service to you.<\/p>\n
Now as we approach 2021, we plan to continue our services and pray that they are pleasing to you, the dear servants of Srila Prabhupada.<\/p>\n
