allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\nRAM<\/p>\n<p>Ram possesses all the qualities of a superhero<br \/>\nRoyal traits of ultimate prince, monarch, or pharaoh<br \/>\nReverent to all, eager to help and listen<br \/>\nWith a service attitude acting on what&#8217;s given<br \/>\nHis build is admirable, countenance grave<br \/>\nTasks he tackles meant only for the brave<br \/>\nHe never moves suddenly at a reckless whim<br \/>\nNo wonder his father, the emperor, adores him<br \/>\nRam is the heartthrob for many a woman<br \/>\nHe also has a striking brother, his name, Laksman<br \/>\nOf all ladies, lovely Sita won Ram in a tournament<br \/>\nThese three leave an indelible mark\u2013a footprint<br \/>\nLiterally so, on a forest floor at Chitrakoot<br \/>\nIn a fateful exile they meet an ogress\u2013not cute<br \/>\nSmitten with desire the ogress solicits Ram<br \/>\nHe declares loyalty, not yielding to this love bomb<br \/>\nThis invokes a fury in the lustful jungle lady<br \/>\nWho attacks Sita, for all she does is shady<br \/>\nLaksman draws his dagger making a clean cut<br \/>\nOff comes nose and ears disfiguring her somewhat<br \/>\nThe wounded ogress flees to gain retaliation<\/p>\n<p>Fourteen thousand aggressive ogres assail, adding aggravation<br \/>\nRam single-handedly put their lives to completion<br \/>\nThe ogress reaches her cannibal king, Ravan, to petition<br \/>\nIn revenge, this ten-headed villain uses trickery and hoax<br \/>\nA mystic becomes a golden deer who goes to coax<br \/>\nFair Sita away from the guard of her husband<br \/>\nRavan&#8217;s plot triumphs, stealing Sita, Ram&#8217;s diamond<br \/>\nTo Isle Lanka he flies with captive Sita by his side<br \/>\nDevastated is Ram with his love companion denied<\/p>\n<p>A vulture, a bear, a monkey offer solace<br \/>\nAs allies they pledge to regain the goddess<br \/>\nBattles are conflicts to avoid if possible<br \/>\nWhen negotiations fail with bridges not crossable<br \/>\nSpeaking of bridges, monkey Hanuman cleared the ocean<br \/>\nWith one leap to Lanka on the strength of devotion<br \/>\nCrossing a new causeway, now the means to go<br \/>\nIs a simian army wielding weapons, for Ram it&#8217;s a bow<br \/>\nA clash between mean man and monkey is a fierce fight<br \/>\nCasualties are plenty as all exhibit such might<br \/>\nThe turning point\u2013a fatal arrow hits Ravan&#8217;s navel<br \/>\nThe only bodily location Ram finds unstable<br \/>\nThe ten-headed fiend&#8217;s legion is completely defeated<br \/>\nBut what now of Sita, has her life been depleted?<br \/>\nAll this while it appears Sita&#8217;s in captivity<br \/>\nIn a grove of ashoka trees devoid of festivity<br \/>\nSurprisingly the goddess in despair is a mere phantom<br \/>\nPutting a twist to a story interesting to fathom<br \/>\nWhen Sita was abducted she prayed to the fire god<br \/>\nHe gave her protection, for this we must applaud<br \/>\nThen an illusory Sita was suddenly manifest<br \/>\nThe joke was on Ravan who thought he had the best<br \/>\nBut then we wonder, did Ram too get tricked?<br \/>\nThe drama plays out so emotions can be gripped<br \/>\nRam, Sita, Laksman end a fourteen-year ordeal<br \/>\nHanuman joins, they return home to Ayodhya to reveal<br \/>\nMore divine and sweet pastimes of a mystical kind<br \/>\nTales of
