{"id":94955,"date":"2021-04-27T06:02:17","date_gmt":"2021-04-27T04:02:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dandavats.com\/?p=94955"},"modified":"2021-04-30T10:02:44","modified_gmt":"2021-04-30T08:02:44","slug":"thats-hanuman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dandavats.com\/?p=94955","title":{"rendered":"That&#8217;s Hanuman!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Bhaktimarga Swami<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He has the power of devotion<br \/>\nWhether still or in motion<br \/>\nAssistant to Sri Ram<br \/>\nAnd his brother Lakshman<br \/>\nA warrior, up to serve<br \/>\nA person of solid nerve<br \/>\nAnd of bodily strength<br \/>\nHe would go to any length<br \/>\nTo recover Ram&#8217;s princess<br \/>\nCircumstantially in distress<br \/>\nHe came to her in small size<br \/>\nTo take her back, no compromise<br \/>\nBut she held to her principle<br \/>\nThough suggestion was irresistible<br \/>\nRam was her only man to touch<br \/>\nHanuman understood very much<br \/>\nBeing a warrior, also a monk<br \/>\nHis values could never ever be sunk<br \/>\nOnly compelled to take her back to him<br \/>\nWhere Ram stood at the ocean&#8217;s rim<br \/>\nAt first she took him as adversary<br \/>\nA monkey to trust is so contrary<br \/>\nOn presenting Ram&#8217;s ring token<br \/>\nThat gesture said more than anything spoken<br \/>\nThe celibate warrior soared back to Ram<br \/>\nAnd told of her waiting for him to come<br \/>\nWith club in hand the primate was up to attack<br \/>\nRascal Ravan being doomed for a broken back<br \/>\nTo the one we love, everyone&#8217;s man<br \/>\nIn part an ape, that&#8217;s Hanuman<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/rSIfXTh.jpeg \"\/><strong>By Bhaktimarga Swami<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>  I wrote a poem for Hanuman yesterday, as yesterday was his birthday.
