They played and fought, and snatched food from each other, as pals<\/p>\n
They laughed together and they cried together, as cronies<\/p>\n
They faced dangers together and shared their food as buddies <\/p>\n
As a friend to the simple cowherd boys of Brindaavan, with whom He played ball<\/p>\n
He wrestled with them, and in pure friendship and equality, He took many a fall<\/p>\n
When Lord Krishna and Lord Balarama took on the mighty wrestlers sent by Kamsa<\/p>\n
They killed the two powerful giants in a trice, thus thwarting the evil designs of Kamsa<\/p>\n
Kamsa was always obsessed with Lord Krishna, but with inimical thought <\/p>\n
To kill Krishna was his sole obsession, to go to any length his mind was fraught<\/p>\n
The Lord was in no hurry, he accepted the challenge to a wrestling bout <\/p>\n
When the time was ripe, He snuffed out Kamsa\u2019a life without harbouring any doubt <\/p>\n
With the simple cowherd girls of Vrindavan the Lord exchanged \u201cmaadhurya raas\u201d<\/p>\n
Which has been explained by the great achaaryas as the highest form of \u201craas\u201d<\/p>\n
Mirabai also related with the Lord in \u201cmaadhurya raas\u201d, in great intensity <\/p>\n
The Lord is so magnanimous that He grants fully everyone\u2019s wish for intimacy<\/p>\n
Lord Krishna also accepts \u201csanta raas\u201d, a relationship in neutrality<\/p>\n
The great devotee Prahalad related with Him in this form of affinity<\/p>\n
We can relate to Raas Behari in \u201cdaasya raas\u201d, as He consents to be our master<\/p>\n
Since everything the Lord does is perfect, He will always be our perfect master <\/p>\n
To relate with Raas Behari as His servants is our rightful position<\/p>\n
Since the Lord is the Supreme Master of all creatures and the entire creation<\/p>\n
To be in such a position is not a diminution of ourselves, or our identity<\/p>\n
But a wise decision, where the benefits will accrue to us for all eternity !<\/p>\n
