Visakha Dasi: At Bhaktivedanta Manor, ISKCON\u2019s flagship centre in the UK, Srila Prabhupada\u2019s 125th anniversary theme was: Srila Prabhupada offers enlightenment to the world through his books. <\/p>\n

For the occasion, the stage in the new Haveli was decorated with dozens of candles symbolizing the light of knowledge that Srila Prabhupada brought to the world through his spiritual teachings. Throughout the morning of Vyasa Puja, Srila Prabhupada\u2019s disciples and grand disciples expressed their gratitude to him and appreciation of him.<\/p>\n

Prior to Vyasa Puja \u2013 throughout the three-day Janmashtami celebrations on the Manor\u2019s 78-acres that was attended by 33,000 guests and worshippers \u2013 Srila Prabhupada\u2019s glories were continuously relayed by devotees speaking from the main stage. In addition, the Manor\u2019s book distribution team, Go Matsya, has been dedicated to inspiring people to acquire Srimad-Bhagavatam sets with Srila Prabhupada\u2019s translation and commentary. And the Manor\u2019s harinama Sankirtan team has been spreading the holy name in London\u2019s 400 tube stations. <\/p>\n

At Bhaktivedanta Manor we were especially delighted that 45 enthusiastic second generation devotees once again came forward to make dishes for Srila Prabhupada\u2019s feast. Altogether they made 440 preparations that were offered to Srila Prabhupada in his Manor darshan room. Some of these second generation devotees have been helping make Vyasa Puja dishes for Srila Prabhupada since they were small children \u2013 starting with preparing fruits. The next generation team was organised by Visvadevi and headed by Radhika.<\/p>\n

Plus, fifteen next generation devotees served with Visvadevi to make the flower arrangements in Srila Prabhupada\u2019s room, as well as to decorate his Vyasasana in the temple room.<\/p>\n

Engaging the next generation in Srila Prabhupada\u2019s service during his appearance day was established by Sarva Mangala Dasi (a disciple of Srila Prabhupada) many years ago when she looked after Srila Prabhupada\u2019s rooms, and now the children of that generation are coming forward to also help. <\/div>\n

In this way, the spirit of this vital festival continues, much to everyone\u2019s pleasure, excitement and ecstasy.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
