We have a vacancy to be filled in our temple in Cardiff, UK, and are inviting applications to fill this role.<\/p>\n

The details of the position are as follows:<\/p>\n
Please note that there is a limited time we will be advertising as we need to fill this role soon. Because of this we will only be taking applications from 10th January and then will accept no more applications after the 10th February.<\/p>\n
Title : Youth Congregation Development and Community Interaction Officer.<\/p>\n
Role Description : To facilitate the development of the cohesion between the 18 -30 year old congregation and resident community of devotees. To lead preaching programs at the temple. To facilitate group activities and retreats with the youth congregation. To interact with non Hindu youth projects and institutions with the aim of promoting understanding between themselves and our community. To do whatever is necessary for the development of the project.<\/p>\n
Pay : This role is only available on a voluntary basis. There will be no pay but the devotee will be able to stay at the temple and all prasadam and clothing will be provided.<\/p>\n
Qualifications : The devotee must be strictly following all the regulative principles. They must be a fully practising member of ISKCON and served at an ISKCON project. They must have experience of interacting with congregation members and be able to relate to our congregation – i.e. a UK based congregation. They must have experience in leading and organising kirtans for a variety of functions and events. To be able to fulfil these roles they must have excellent English language skills. The position is only available to devotees under 30 years of age.<\/p>\n
Duration : the position is full-time for the foreseeable future and we require a commitment of at least 12 months to begin with, but ideally as a long term (3 years +) role.<\/p>\n
Notes : As the only accommodation we have available is the male ashrama, and that there will be no pay, only those applicants who will come alone can be considered (i.e. you cannot bring a spouse). Also as the devotee will be expected to attend the full morning program starting with Mangala Arati at 4.30am.<\/p>\n
