Vidyadan Triumphs into the Student Lives of Spiritually Dry Secular Campuses of South India<\/strong>  <\/p>\n

ISKCON Vidyadan<\/em> – Kerala tried out on a sample basis ,a one- hour class, \u2018Power of Habit \u2013How to overcome Bad Habits\u2019 on a secular school-student mass containing Hindu, Christian and Muslim  boys and girls on the 8th<\/sup> October 2011,in Irinjalakuda(IRJ) ,<\/em>of central Kerala, South India.<\/p>\n

The only known, huge, temple of Sri Bharath, brother of Sri Rama, is situated Inirinjalakuda!<\/p>\n

Two morning classes, by the writer of this report, was based on the topic prepared and promoted personally by Pune (India) Temple President HG Radheshayamdas (RSD).The Training courses of VOICE have been creating a positive character wave in Western India.<\/p>\n

VOICE, Vedic Oasis for Inspiration, Culture & Education overseen by HG RSD touches the hearts and lives of children, teenagers, and adolescent youth. Its motto is rekindling wisdom and reviving love. The Vedic Oasis literally gives asylum for the stressed mind of modern age.<\/p>\n

Inspired by the visible Western Indian results, the scheme was introduced into South India, Kerala, on a secular name \u2018Vidyadan<\/em> for Schools\u2018, so that 120 fortunate 9th and 10th standard students of Sree Narayana Guru Higher Secondary School,(SNGHS-IRJ<\/em>) from seven divisions, were exposed as a sample to the eternal wisdom of Bhagavad Gita As It Is by Srila Prabhupada, in two separate sessions, one hour each, on the 8th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Fried sweet- rice balls and sweet- flattened- rice was served as Prasad at the end of sessions by ISKCON.<\/p>\n

The feed backs from the seven \u2018class \u2013teachers\u2019 who attended along with their students, scores 90% and even 100% in certain aspects! The Teachers admitted that they treasure their experience and reassures that their views reflect 100% of their students\u2019 appreciations as they filled and signed off the Feedback. SNGHSS is a benign receptor of students, failing to get admissions in competitive Christian Convents around IRJ and inherently carry thus a weaker result-problem, especially with 10th<\/sup> standard which prompted them into this course!<\/p>\n

ISKCON Vidyadan<\/em> and SNGHS-IRJ, have now agreed to start immediately, Bhagavad Gita study circles within interest -groups of class teachers – students which will promote spiritual revival and mind focus, hoping better academic performances as well. 20 Bhagavad Gita As It Is will be donated from ISKCON to SNGHS to facilitate this program as it takes off.<\/p>\n

Wait a Minute!<\/strong> As this article is being written, 8 sessions,  spanning two working days, to cover 600 students  of 10th<\/sup>,11th<\/sup> and 12th<\/sup> Standard boys and girls of \u2018Model Public High School- IRJ\u2019 <\/em>has been booked for 17th<\/sup> and 18th<\/sup> October! Will report to you further progress.<\/p>\n
