Dear Maharajas, Prabhus and Matajis, please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

HH Bhakti Vrajendranandana Swami Maharaja, dear disciple of Srila Prabhupada and ISKCON Malaysia President, is in very critical stage now.

Three weeks ago HH had vomited 2 liters of blood which was replaced. This morning, Ekadasi tithi at 5.15am, Maharaja again vomited blood. This is because of the immune system attacking his liver which is causing erosion of the mucus in stomach. Therefore the acids are hurting the intestines.

Maharaja liver is not functioning now and impure blood flowed into his brain and caused brain coma. Doctors say medically there is no hope now.

Only prayers can bring about miracle recovery. We request everyone to please kindly pray for Maharaja.

  1. Puskaraksa das says :

We know that the physical body is perishable and thus temporary.

Hence, despite our various degrees of attachement and love for HH Vrajendranandana Swami, we may have to understand that it may be soon time for him to go on with his devotional service at the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada, in some other form and way…

So, we can only pray that this transition may be gone through by this glorious devotee and very dear servant of Srila Prabhupada in the smoothest way as possible, if not always possibly on the physical plane, at least for sure on the spiritual platform…

So, in the midst of these very trying circumstances, we have to remember Krishna’s promise and hang on to it:

    ksipram bhavati dharmatma
    sasvac-chantim nigacchati
    kaunteya pratijanihi
    na me bhaktah pranasyati

He quickly becomes righteous and attains lasting peace. O son of Kunti, declare it boldly that My devotee never perishes. (B.g. 9.31)

Did Lord Krishna refer to the material body, when he made that promise…?
No! Lord Krishna spoke in Tattva and certainly referred to the eternal spirit soul.

“For the soul there is neither birth nor death at any time. He has not come into being, does not come into being, and will not come into being. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain.” (B.g. 2.20)

So, we have to rest in peace and accompany HH Vrajendranandana Swami with our prayers and devotional service, so that he may gain even more spiritual strength and confidence in the fact that everything is going to be alright, as the devotee may go on living within his present envelope or leave his body, it doesn’t matter, as everything is auspicious for him.

“As I told you that sadhava jiva ma maro va. There was a nice story the other day I told you that a sage is giving different kinds of blessings to different types of persons. So to a king’s son, a prince, he blessed, raja-putra ciram jiva: “Oh, you are king’s son, prince, you live forever.” And muni-putra, the son of a saintly person, he blessed him, ma jiva ma jiva: “You don’t live.” Raja-putra ciram jiva muni-putra ma jiva. …/… And sadhu, devotees, he blessed him, jiva va maro va: “Either you live or you die, as you like.” …/… So a devotee he blessed, jiva va maro va: “My dear devotee, either you live or die, the same thing.” – Srila Prabhupada lecture on the Disappearance Day of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvat├« on Dec. 9, 68 in Los Angeles
