With growing Krishna consciousness all over the world ISKCON has been instrumental in bringing many souls under the shelter of Lord Sri Krishna with its Philosophy, Kirtans, Prasadam, etc., however the villages and tribes located in remote areas remain unaware of the good fortune in Kaliyuga.
An initiative was taken by devotees from ISKCON Pune and with dedicated efforts and Krishna’s mercy a new preaching centre ”Bhagavad Darshan Prachar Kendra” was established in Bodhan village, Telangana.
It was inaugurated with great pomp on 10th June 2017. Bhakta Manjunath accompanied by two grihastha devotees were invited for the inauguration. Inaugural activities included basic Krishna conscious introduction which further covered the concepts of 4 regulative principles as followed in ISKCON, importance of chanting holy name and community building. This continued for 9 days till 19th June 2017. Nagar Sankirtanas flooded the areas of Pegadapally, Yedapally, Hunsa, Achanpally and Pothangal with the nectarine holy name.
In order to establish a good society thereby being a responsible citizen and a human, value education becomes a dire need shaping the values in small age, a Krishna Conscious value education seminar was conducted at Vijay Sai High School & Indur Model High School, which was attended by 35 teachers.
In today’s world life has become westernized, even in India most of the people live aloof from their family creating more houses and less homes. 8 house programs will surely assure 8 homes as it is said a family which prays together stays together. Diet especially in ISKCON is of utmost importance as the way to your heart goes through your stomach and hence Prasadam was distributed in large numbers transforming 3450 souls. Along with this 153 Krishna conscious books were distributed. The cherry on the cake was the final day preaching in Kalpole forest where stays a tribe far in remote area caring and nurturing thousands of cows.
Thus the seed has been planted deep inside the hearts of 7000 people which will grow into a tree of immortal love to Lord Krishna.
