The first full moon of the autumn season marks the celebration of Krishna's dancing with the gopis. On this day the Deities of Vrindavan are nicely decorated in white and Krishna-lila dramas are enacted. Because the moon is very auspicious, the Brijbasis leave pots of sweet rice exposed to the full moon for the whole night to turn the sweet rice into ambrosial nectar.

By Brajanath DasaMy wife and I were pondering how to reach out the community with Prabhupada books during the pandemic and we happened to see little birdfeeder-sized, house-shaped structures full of books on the front lawns of houses in our neighborhood. We thought that these would be nice altars for Prabhupada books, and peeked inside. They contained books related to fiction, science, romance, health, and travel as well as kidsâ books. As we didnât see any spiritual books, we thought to place Bhagavad-Gita and other small books of Prabhupada.
