>One day mother Yasoda called to Krsna, “My dear son, because You have been playing all day, Your body has become covered with dust and sand. Therefore come back, take Your bath, and cleanse Yourself. Today the moon is conjoined with the auspicious star of Your birth. Therefore be pure and give cows in charity to the brahmanas.

The demon Aghasura assumed the form of a huge python as thick as a mountain and as long as eight miles. Having assumed this wonderful python’s body, he spread his mouth like a big mountain cave and lay down on the road, expecting to swallow Krsna and His cowherd boyfriends

After killing Aghasura, Krsna took the cowherd boys to the forest for a picnic. As the boys enjoyed eating lunch in one another’s company, the calves were allured by green grass and gradually wandered off. Krsna’s friends became a little agitated and wanted to bring the calves back, but the Lord departed. Then, just to examine the potency of Krsna, Lord Brahma took away all the calves and cowherd boys and kept them in a secluded place.

Once the cowherd friends of Krsna and Balarama told Them, “In the Talavana forest many fruits are falling from the trees, and many are lying on the ground. But all the fruits are being guarded by the evil Dhenuka. O Rama! O Krsna! Dhenuka is a most powerful demon in the form of an ass. He is surrounded by many friends who have assumed similar shapes and who are just as powerful as he.

These are dishes made from a variety of vegetables, fruits nuts, grains, milk products, and spices. These recipes date back 5000 years ago when Lord Krishna would daily feast along with his friends in Vrindavan to their full satisfaction.

The Lord remained for some time within the coils of the serpent, imitating the behavior of an ordinary mortal. And we’re still wasting time and not reciprocating

We human beings have always searched for happiness, which means we know we’re not happy. Discontent burns within us, but we search for fulfillment outside ourselves. We’re taught that we’ll feel complete when we get the right things. But we’re left wanting more things.

It is equal to performing 16 Kartik Vratas and therefore it is a very good time to engage in full devotional service.

Once one of Krsna’s friends informed Him, “My dear Krsna, if you will open Your mouth I shall give You a nice sugar candy mixed with yogurt.” Krsna immediately opened His mouth, but instead of giving Him sugar candy with yogurt, the friend dropped a flower into His mouth. Then Krsna twisted His mouth in distaste, and upon seeing this, all His friends began to laugh very loudly.

Sometimes Krsna and Balarama would play on Their flutes; sometimes They would throw ropes and stones devised for getting fruits from the trees, sometimes They would throw only stones, and sometimes, Their ankle bells tinkling, They would play soccer with fruits like bel and amalaki.

Lord Sri Krishna says: “For one who explains this supreme secret to the devotees, pure devotional service is guaranteed, and at the end he will come back to Me. There is no servant in this world more dear to Me than he, nor will there ever be one more dear.” (BG 18.68/69)

One of the gopis once playfully warned her friend about the power of Krsna’s attraction: “My dear friend, if you are at all attached to your worldly friends and relatives, do not look at the smiling face of Lord Govinda as He stands on the bank of the Yamuna at Kesi-ghata.

Having risen early in the morning, He blew His bugle made of horn and woke all the cowherd boys and calves with its beautiful sound. Then Krsna and the boys, keeping their respective herds of calves before them, proceeded from Vrajabhumi to the forest...

Vrndavana forest improved from the rains and was replete with ripened dates, mangoes, blackberries, and other fruits. Lord Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, accompanied by His cowherd friends and Lord Balarama, entered the forest to enjoy the new seasonal atmosphere.
