Firefighters were called to a blaze at the Hare Krishna Temple site near Aldenham. Several bales of hay were well alight at the Goshala barn. The fire is believed to have begun at around 1pm and firefighters arrived within ten minutes. Managing director at Bhakdivedanta Manor, Gauri Das, said at least four fire engines were called to the scene and everyone was evacuated from the area. By the mercy of Sri Guru and Gaurang , a small devotee community in Knoxville, TN celebrated first Rathyatra festival on the day of Radhaashtami. Indradeva was suppose to make a rainfall of 3 inches but due to the mercy of Lord Jaggannath it rained moderately. Rain did not stop the dvotees to take the procession of Lord Jaggannath. Lord Lord Jaggannath, Baldeva and Subhadra came out on their chariot to bestow their mercy on the fallen souls....

Few devotees from Pandharpur temple joined padayatra. Interestingly, one female dog was also following us. On the first day we thought that she will give up after some time because we had seen many such followers in the past. But she was so attached to the ratha that she followed us with determination, sometimes running and gasping. As soon as the ratha stopped, she would take rest under it. She ate very little and mostly spent the time near the ratha. Next day onwards devotees started taking care of her ...
