“Godhead is Light, Nescience is darkness. Where there is Godhead there is no Nescience.”
(Srila Prabhupada’s original Back to Godhead logo)
“KášášŁáša is compared to sunshine, and mÄyÄ is compared to darkness. Wherever there is sunshine, there cannot be darkness. As soon as one takes to KášášŁáša consciousness, the darkness of illusion (the influence of the external energy) will immediately vanish.”
(Caitanya-caritÄmášta Madhya 22.31)
“KášášŁáša is like the sun, and mÄyÄ, or the illusory energy of KášášŁáša, is like darkness. Darkness means absence of light; similarly, mÄyÄ means absence of KášášŁáša consciousness. KášášŁáša consciousness and mÄyÄ are always there, side by side. As soon as there is awakening of KášášŁáša consciousness, all the illusory pains and pleasures of material existence are vanquished. MÄyÄm etÄáš taranti te: (BG 7.14) constant chanting of the mahÄ-mantra will keep us always aloof from the illusory energy of mÄyÄ.”
(ĹrÄŤmad-BhÄgavatam 4.11.2, Purport)
