Bhakta Matty: To honour the life and contribution to the world that George Harrison had made, a festival was held in St’ George’s Hall in Liverpool on the 5th December 2011. Many artists performed his music and the Radha Krishna Temple joined in chanting Hare Krishna and catered a sumptuous vegetarian fest for all!
In the evening we had the chance to chant the Maha mantra at The Cavern, at the time of his passing from our vision at 21:20! The audience joined in chanting, sharing in the mystery that George helped make public knowledge by his music, his life,
his sponsoring the printing of The Krishna Book,
and his donation of the old Piggot’s Manor to
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, which to this day is the headquarters of the Hare Krishna movement in the United Kingdom, known as the Bhaktivedanta manor.
