Our 1st Annual Holistic Health Fair at ISKCON Philadelphia Presented by Vaishnavas CARE– Philadelphia

If you live in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania/New Jersey, Delaware area, Please Join Us On Saturday, October 8, 2022 for our 1st Annual Holistic Health Fair. Hours are 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Our Philadelphia Vaishnavas CARE Team & the Devotees from ISKCON Philadelphia will be presenting our 1st Annual Holistic Health Fair at the ISKCON Philadelphia Temple. We are inviting our neighbors, our congregation, and others in the area who wish to join our outdoor booths to have FREE health assessments with our Vaishnava physicians, dentist, physical therapist, Nurses and teachers.
Some of Our Booths will Include:
* We will have a Mantra Meditation booth by teaching chanting on japa beads. Participants will receive a “Chant & Be Happy” book and a Handout showing how to chant japa.
* We will also present a Vegetarian Cooking Demonstration. “Higher Taste” Cookbooks will be given to those who join in to prepare samosas.
* In addition, Vaishnavas who are Hatha Yoga Instructors will teach Beginner’s Hatha Yoga for adults. We will have another teacher to teach the children. All those who participate will each receive a Free backpack.
* Children will also have an opportunity to create arts and crafts at our Children’s booth. All children who join in will choose from a variety of stuffed animals of various sizes according to age.
*One of our physicians will explain Ayurvedic Healthcare and will assess our guests using traditional Ayurvedic methods. All participants will receive a well-prepared handbook written by our Physician. Each guest will receive an “anti-stress squeeze
ball” to decrease anxiety. They will also receive a Vaishnavas CARE pen and small blank notebook for journaling which is helpful for self-realization. Bhagavad-Gita As It Is will also be distributed for free at this booth.
*Our Vaishnava Dentist will give free check-ups, demonstrate good oral hygiene for adults and children, and will give participants related giveaways to encourage them to adopt better oral care.
* Our Physical Therapist will demonstrate proper posture when walking, sitting, etc.
* We will be giving away FREE healthy vegetarian lunches, including samosas, Lo Mein with vegetables & Tofu, vegan oatmeal cookies, snacks, freshly popped organic popcorn, fruit salad, & drinks (Coconut Water, 100% Juice boxes for the children, bottled water, Natural fruit drinks, etc.).
* Our Bhajan Band will be playing on a stage and will be inviting our guests to join in.
* Our Registered Nurse will be taking Vital Signs for our guests (Temperature, Blood Pressure, Respirations, O2 Saturation (measures the amount of oxygen in the blood). Handouts with Normal Values will be included. 🎈
