On the auspicious occasion of Gita Jayanti, there were 3 exhibitions of 3D Models based on topics from Bhagavad Gita As It Is, presented by hundreds of School Students trained by NICE (Narasimha Institute for Children Education) – an education of ISKCON Mira Road.
By the mercy of Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga, these Exhibitions were held at 3 of the top private (ICSE Board) schools in Mumbai – N.L.Dalmia High School, Kapol Vidyanidhi International School and Shailendra Education Society. Prior to this exhibition, ‘Value Education Classes’ based on ‘Bhagavad Gita’ shlokas, were systematically conducted for 1st to 10th Grade classes in the schools by NICE Teachers. Lot of planning and training was done, which was made possible by the support of the School Principals, Event Co-ordinators, the School Management & the Staff.
H.G.Kamala Lochan Prabhuji (the temple president of ISKCON Mira Road) addressed the students, parents and teachers on the importance of Bhagavad Gita and Sanskrit Language
Few more highlights of the event were
– ISKCON Devotees had set up Book Marathon stalls which really attracted the crowd, leading to distribution of many Bhagavad Gita books
– ISKCON Food for life programme distributed prasadam to everyone in the school
– Children from 5 to 15 years of age recited Bhagavad Gita Shlokas along with the translations by heart
