Swarupa Das: Just got word that David Crosby died. Back in ’86 Chitta and I were introduced to David by a mutual friend. We met at the friend’s house in Novato (Marin County, California) and from there we drove David to his home in Mill Valley. We stayed with him all night into the next day chanting and telling him about Krishna consciousness. Before leaving he introduced us to his wife, Jan and when he told her that we were Hare Krishna devotees she began asking questions so we stayed with them the entire day. Although we exchanged numbers and said we’d get back together we never did. He was going through some heavy stuff back then and our lives were pretty crazy at that time as well. Anyway, I’m glad we had the opportunity to at least introduce David to the absolute truth, brief as it was.
