Feb 27th, 2023: Srinivas University, one of the leading private university in Mangalore organized WORLD SANSKRIT CONFERENCE-2023 the first of its kind in the state. It was a 3 day event which included research paper presentations in different aspects of Vedic knowledge, ancient arts,Sanskrit language, Vedic scriptures and their collaboration with modern scientific advances. HH Bhakti Raghava Swami Maharaj, ISKCON Sannyasi. Maharaj was welcomed by the H’ble Chancellor Dr. CA A Raghavendra Rao, the H’ble Pro Chancellor, Dr. A Srinivas Rao and other dignitaries during the closing ceremony of the Conference. Maharaj was accompanied by Management committee members of ISKCON Mangalore, HG Sriram das, Dr Surajeet Chakrabarty and Sutapa das(Dr Sushil). Maharaj gave a short and crisp speech on importance of reviving Vedic culture and need to spread the knowledge of Srimad Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam all over the world. He recalled the contributions of His Divine Grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, The founder Acharya of ISKCON towards establishing the Vedic culture and scriptural knowledge all over the world. He also emphasized how important it is to take birth on this holy land of INDIA which is not just by chance but by good fortune. It is the duty of every Indian to serve the humanity by spreading Vedic Knowledge and culture. At the end, Maharaj distributed a copy of Bhagavad Gita As It Is to all the dignitaries and appreciated their contribution towards reviving Vedic culture through such conferences. He also offered to give full support from ISKCON Sri Jagannath Mandir, Mangalore to Srinivas University for such future endeavors.
