Earth Day is an international annual event, the week running up is
sometimes called Earth Week, and is a time when environmental issues takes centre stage in schools, colleges, politics and with the general population.
This year we have the biblical task of cooking 8,000 Prasad meals daily for
the ‘eco warriors’ coming from all over the country for this four day event
in central London. The cooking becomes easier with a team of 50 volunteers chopping veggies, washing pots and distributing Prasad in Parliament Square. Cooking starts at 5am and continues till 8pm.
Over 100 environmental organisations came together and as always our
kitchen is at the heart of all actions. Over time a plate of Prasad is commonly know as a ” Krishna”. Often to be heard someone on the phone saying, “hey! I ‘m in the queue, do you want a Krishna”.

A person in Krsna consciousness certainly sees Lord Krsna everywhere, and he sees everything in Krsna. Such a person may appear to see all separate manifestations of the material nature, but in each and every instance he is conscious of Krsna, knowing that everything is the manifestation of Krsna’s energy. Nothing can exist without Krsna, and Krsna is the Lord of everything—this is the basic principle of Krsna consciousness. [BG 6:30 translation & purport]
