7th Oct 2012 was the date of the last Rathayatra in UK. Usually we would never attempt to have an outdoor festival in October as England is famous for rain. This year due to the olympics, we were not able to hold a festival any earlier but since it was the first East London Rathayatra, we decided there is an urgent need to take the chance & low and behold the sun shined brightly and great numbers of devotees turned out to dance for Lord Jagannatha.
