Leadership Parenting on National Public Radio NPR Morning News

by Administrator / 13 Jul 2023 / Published in testing  /

This past week there have been some major developments in the world of parenting. Leadership Parenting: Empower Your Child’s Social Success, is getting attention. Last year, it became an Amazon Best Seller, and over a thousand copies have been downloaded and bought since then.

On July 12, 2023 National Public Radio showcased Leadership Parenting and interviewed author Mother Gopi Gita. Host Shelley Irwin called the book “transformative”, “a game changer in the realm of parenting”.

Highlights of the morning news also included reports on children who were being sex-trafficked and broken childhoods, rampant with abuse. Leadership Parenting, a bhakti based parenting program, could not have been unveiled on that station at a better time. If only all the children of the world could be nurtured with complete bhakti love and all parents could heal their pasts the way Leadership Parenting clients are doing today.

Leadership Parenting is the most comprehensive parenting program in the world, presented for an academic and contemporary audience. It is based on bhakti principles.

The parenting approach identifies three core needs of a child, working from sambandha (the needs of connection and belonging), abhidheya (the needs of free will and agency) and prayojana (the needs of achievement and completion). Once a child’s core needs are met, they can easily step into full absorption (samadhi), purpose (dharma), and can begin to understand the needs of others. This leads naturally to empathy, collaboration and leadership. Amazingly, Maslow’s hierarchy and other contemporary psychological principles discuss similar needs, but fall short. Bhakti principles blow them out of the water, with strategies past self-actualization, such as empathy (vadanya), collaboration (sanga) and full leadership service (sankirtan). Parents are guided with practical day to day strategies to fill these needs. In turn, their own needs become fortified, and their reactivity and childhood traumas healed by the magic of the bhakti process.

It has beautiful pastimes of Lord Chaitanya and Lord Nityananda woven throughout. They are presented as the “patron saints of love and learning” Saints Gaura and Nitai. As channa avataras, They hide in every page of this book, sprinkling Their special mercy to anyone who reads it.

Gopi Gita devi dasi serves as the co-minister of ISKCON education in North America and the Vice Principal of TKG Academy in Dallas, the first school established by Srila Prabhupada. With online courses and coaching, she and her Leadership Parenting team guide parents through systematic levels where children can step into success. They serve bhakti parents and spiritual seekers looking for transformation in their children. Every chapter and level have a mantra meditation that accompanies the strategies implemented.

Parents who follow the strategies on the path find amazing results very quickly. They neutralize their children’s defiance. They empower their child with social confidence, with academic achievement and more importantly they motivate their children spiritually.

“Gopi Gita has a deep understanding of what children experience, how to authentically connect with them and how to effectively support them through their many challenges and idiosyncrasies. am very grateful for her course.”
Rory Strydom, High School Chemistry Instructor

“I was amazed at how quickly Mother Gopi Gita’s strategies worked. She guided me closely to work with key challenges in my daughter’s social development. My daughter is learning how to communicate and loving her playdates!”

Meghan Bhat, CEO, Real Yoga

“My daughter needed the confidence to come out of her shell. Through Leadership Parenting, we structured her life with honest conversations, activities that enhanced her confidence and creativity, and which provided time for building relationships. Now she is a trusted confidante to a small, but tight-knit group of friends. She is now able to solve challenges on her own and can distinguish when she needs my help and when she can stand on her own.”

Dr. Sumithira Vasu, Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine, Ohio State University
