In Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, Rasarnava Gauranga Prabhu, the president of the ISKCON Florianópolis temple, met Miss Florianópolis 2023, Camila Maleski, with her escort, Alexandre, who promptly took three BBT books! The couple were so interested that later they returned to speak with us about spiritual life and promised to visit our temple. These amazed people now have Srila Prabhupada’s amazing books.
Also amazing was that during the conversation a little boy named Gustavo came running up saying, “I want a book, too!” Gustavo really liked our clothes and the fact that we were monks. When he brought his family over to the table, Rasarnava encouraged his parents to get a book for him and told them we have little monks Gustavo’s age and even suggested he could have been a monk in his last life! They loved it and bought a Veda for their little Krishna fan.
Sankirtana is full of surprises, but Srila Prabhupada teaches us how to be serene, sober, and smart in all circumstances, and to never miss an opportunity to distribute his amazing books. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
