Sometimes little divine dramas play out in front of our harinama party.
Recently we encountered a homeless man who had taken three Gitas and many other books from us during last year’s Prabupada marathon. He’d also eaten literally hundreds of our cookies and was very happy to see us again.
His name was David-Ismael, and he wanted another Gita. As he gave me two euros, he smiled: “You are lucky–that is my whole collection today.” I offered him some more cookies, and we started to talk because he had a lot to say.
Then suddenly a man came with a bag full of food and gave it to David. He was very happy because he hadn’t eaten anything all day. As he was relishing some couscous, someone else came and gave him even more food. David was so grateful and joyful that he sat down right in front of the harinama party and ended up having a feast!
Just see how Krsna reciprocates with a sincere soul. David gave all his money to buy the Gita, and Krsna gave him everything he needed.
