In Vrndavana I spotted a western girl with a Chadar over her head and loose pants looking a little frazzled and lost, like she had just been dropped there. I approached her asking where she’s from- Australia. She said she had just arrived. I asked how she ended up here in Vrindavana. She explained how she studied for years to get her dream job as an architect. She got the dream job, the man, the apartment and wasn’t satisfied. She felt empty and that she didn’t know herself. So she left everything in Melbourne and flew to Bali on a journey of self discovery . She met a man there who told her to read Bhagavad Gita if she wants to know her self. She read it but found it hard to understand, so decided to go to India and do a yoga teacher training. The man told her that when she’s in India she must go to Vrndavana. So she booked the next flight to Delhi and took a taxi straight to Vrindavana and thus we met when she had literally just arrived. She had no idea of the significance of where she had ended up and I felt awestruck by Kṛṣṇa’s mystical arrangements and how he directed her in her sincere search and gave her such divine shelter. She happily took science of self realisation which I said would help her understand the Gita. She asked if I knew of any yoga training places and I mentioned Radhanatha Swami’s Govardhan eco village. A week later we met for lunch at the temple and she happily shared that she contacted them and they said usually these trainings are booked months in advance but the day earlier one spot had just opened up and it was starting next week and they gave her the spot. So she has been there for a month and is receiving sweet care and shelter from the devotees there to help her in her journey and we are staying in touch. Jaya Srila Prabhupada 🙌🏼!
