Filling The Empty Heart – Sacinandana Swami

by Administrator / 28 Oct 2024 / Published in testing  /

In this video HH Sacinandana Swami shares a profound reflection on filling the emptiness many feel in their hearts. He describes attending a special ceremony at Nandagram, where the Deities of Krishna and Balaram were displayed on the terrace under the full moon. The moonlight, in a unique constellation, touched the Lotus Feet of Krishna and Balaram as devotees sang traditional hymns passed down through generations.

Sacinandana Swami recounts a meaningful conversation with a priest, who asked what he had brought from Germany. Instead of material possessions, Maharaja answered, “an empty heart.” He explains that while the West is full of distractions, these material concerns feel insubstantial in a holy place. The heart longs for a “living and loving connection,” which he finds is attainable in Vrindavan, whether through worship, pilgrimage, or engaging with devotees.

For Sacinandana Swami, the most reliable way to fill this inner void is through chanting Krishna’s names, pausing to sing kirtan, reading sacred texts, and meditating on them. He emphasizes that pilgrimage and devotional practices serve to fill the heart with Krishna.
