The State of Gujarat was mesmerized by the blessings of HH Indradyumna Swami and group, in form of Krishna Fest – Festival based on Vedic Culture, held all over Gujarat from January 12th to February 5th, 2013. This group, consisted of 40 international artists from all over the globe (mostly Europe, USA, Russia, etc.), presented multicolour skills that won heart of audience on first sight. This Festival included varieties of events such as Classical Dance Performances , Srimad Bhagvad Gita Drama, Puppet shows (Krishna lila), Mask Theatre (Ramayana), Martial Arts, Acrobatic Yoga, Hare Krishna Mahamantra Kirtan, Magic Show and 20 minutes special lecture on Bhagvad Gita As it is by HH Indradyunma Swami.

This group travelled extensively all over Gujarat and the schedule outline was:

12th to 18th January Ahmedabad, 19th to 21th Anand, 23rd and 24th Rajkot, 25th and 26th Dvaraka, 27th to 29th Baroda, 30th Bharuch and 31st January to 5th February Surat.

The smooth management of Krishna Fest was a success due to the dedicated group of administrator around the state and their sincere efforts. Just to name a few from these brilliant souls of different cities:

Ahmedabad – by HG Yasomati Nandan Prabhu, at Anand – by HH Bhakti Vikas Swami, at Rajkot and Dvaraka – by HG Vaisnava Seva Prabhu, at Baroda – by HG Basu Ghosh Prabhu and at Surat – by HG Vrindavan Chandra Prabhu. The overall incharge of this event was in hands of HG Vishnu Nama Prabhu.

The Program was viewed by almost everyone from general public to VIPs, the strength almost reached to ten thousand and at the end of the program, delicious prasadam was served to all. Krishna Fest was also a favourite hots pot for media, local newspapers covered each day of the Fest on their Front page and even some of the TV channels telecasted it to masses.

The Festival had taken a different dimension in Rajkot, Dwarka and Surat, i.e by having a Rath Yatra of their Lordships Jagannath, Baladev and Subhadra. It was one of the most attractive moments of the whole festival.

The another splendid part was the 20 minutes speech by HH Indradyumna Swami on Bhagvad Gita. In one of the lectures, Maharaj said “As a train runs on two tracks , similarly Gujarat is going strong on Material progress track as well as it is going strong on its Spiritual track also and thus no one can compete with the glories of Gujarat. The State has full blessings of Lord Krishna because it is the only state where cow slaughter is prohibited completely.” He also said that there are around 5000 translation of Bhagvad Gita available but by reading and following Srila Prabhupada’s Bhagvad Gita As It Is, our lives will change dramatically. And thus he requested them to strengthen their Spiritual track by reading and following Bhagvad Gita As It Is.

Krishna Fest is likely to become an annual event in Gujarat and other parts of India. The aim of this marvellous Krishna Fest program is to revive the lost Vedic culture among the general mass in pious land of India and spread the Krishna Consciousness all around the world.
