May the uncontrollable, extremely sweet bank of clouds of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s mercy which bestows rapture to all the rivers of the universe, which brings life to the grains of devotional service newly planted in the field of the heart, and, which by its auspicious approach, extinguishes the intense summer heat of lust from far off, give satisfaction to this worthless soul, a dried-up branch in the desert.
bhaktiḥ pūrvaiḥ śritā tān tu rasaṁ paśyed yad-ātta-dhīḥ
taṁ naumi satataṁ rūpa-nāma-priya-janaṁ hareḥ
Though there are others who in the past had attained bhakti with rasas, I pay my continual obeisances to Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī, who is dearest to the Lord. By his mercy, humanity has received the intelligence to see rasa.
