For the pleasure of their Lordships Jagannath, Baladeva and Subadra, Sri Sri Radha Krishna Chandra, Sri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha, Gaura-Nitai , Srila Prabhupada and the devotees we would like to present you with the report for the Monthly Sankirtan Festival of Honouring Gaura Purnima – “Whomever you meet, tell him about Krsna’s instructionsâ. That took off in Feb 23, 2013 and concluded today.
In Caitanya Caritamrta âMadhya 7.128 â Chapter – The Lord Begins His Tour of South India, Explains:
yÄre dekha, tÄre kaha ‘krÌ£sÌ£nÌ£a‘-upadeÅa
ÄmÄra ÄjñÄya guru haÃ±Ä tÄra‘ ei deÅa
“Instruct everyone to follow the orders of Lord ÅrÄ« KrÌ£sÌ£nÌ£a as they are given in the Bhagavad-gÄ«tÄ and ÅrÄ«mad–BhÄgavatam. In this way become a spiritual master and try to liberate everyone in this land.”
And in the purport – Sri Caitanya Caritamrita Adi 17.78, Srila Prabhupada describes How to satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna:
The members of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness cannot even call themselves brahma-bandhus. Therefore our only means for satisfying Krishna is to pursue the injunctions of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who says:
yare dekha, tare kaha ‘krishna‘-upadesa
amara ajnaya guru hana tara‘ ei desa
“Whomever you meet, instruct him on the teachings of Krishna. In this way, on My order, become a spiritual master and deliver the people of this country.” (Cc. Madhya 7.128) Simply trying to follow the orders of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, we speak to the people of the world about Bhagavad-gita As It Is. This will make us qualified to satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna.
The goals for this MSF were:
· Create devotees list and form at least 2 sankirtan teams
· Distribute 5 CC Sets
· Distribute 1052 books
We are pleased to report that these goals have been met, surpassed, and smashed!
In keeping with the spirit of this MSFâs theme, Bangalore Sankirtan devotees created a group âBangalore Sankirtan Teamâ Googlegroup(s) that connect(s) all the book distribution leaders and distributors, and ongoing outreach to make friends with VIPs who can help the sankirtana effort, creating more visibility about book distribution and devotees made 3 sankirtan teams for weekend Book distribution. Devotees from Mathura Bace conducted massive book distribution in distinctive ways, beginning with the Sivaratri festival. In between, devotees participated in expansive distribution all over the Bangalore, including Railway Station, Subway, Temples, Companies and devotees got good no of BTG Subscription during book distribution.
Every day devotees from the temple who go to distribute books at Majestic Subway location. On weekends we also have youth devotees who join. We distribute nearly 150 Big books every week from this location.
ISKCON Sri Jagannath Madnir devotees held Hari Nama Sankirtana performances during the Ekadashi (March10, March24,) in Seshadripuram. During the Nagar Sankirtan devotees and kids distributed BTG magazines throughout the area.
We would like to thank Sankirtana Co-coordinators for making it a big success.We also thank the Temple Management who gave us their support and guidance from time to time. We would like to thank to those dedicated devotees who went out every single weekend starting from Feburary until last day of Monthly Sankirtan Festival. These goals would not have been met without their enthusiasm and spirited effort.
Here are the final results of the Monthly Sankirtan Festival of Honouring Gaura Purnima – “Whomever you meet, tell him about Krsna’s instructions.
In all We made 3 sankirtan teams and 20 Devotees participated in book distribution, _2__ Srimad Bhagavatam sets, _8__ Caitanya Caritamrta Sets, 1,145__ small books,and _642___ Big books were distributed.
· Sankirtan Team Raised Rs â 1,55,925 in Laxmi.
