Stimulation for Ecstatic Love Part 116 – Sri Radha’s Lotus Feet Part 1

The Rsikesh kirtan festival was the best Western preaching I have ever had the good fortune to attend!
HG Adikarta Prabhu: Everyone.was super friendly and open. I just went up to people in the prasadam line and starting preaching, and them come back the next day for a deeper connection. Many (the cream did so) sat and talked day after day. And bought Srila Prabhupada’s books.

WSN January 2025 – World Sankirtan Newsletter.
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! In January the two most sacred dhams in the world were the venues for ISKCON’s #1 and #2 book distribution teams. Vrindavan was #1 with 131,338 book points, and Mayapur was #2 with 120,443 book points. A big reason these teams rack up such huge scores is the huge numbers of people who visit these holy places and buy Srila Prabhupada’s books. Also, both these temples field fired-up traveling sankirtana parties (like Mayapur’s ten big bus parties). In the Medium Temples, Prayagraj was #1 with 16,299 book points, nearly doubling its closest rival. It was a great month for Prayagraj whose city hosted this year’s Maha Kumbha Mela. Prayag is where Prabhupada ran Prayag Pharmacy during his householder days, and also where he encountered devotees from the Gaudiya Math for the second time, and where he finally received initiation from Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. In the Small Temples, Bangalore earned 26,918 book points. So many books are going out in Bangalore that, of the top six temples in this category, three were in Bangalore totaling 52,914 book points! And last but not least, among the Maha-Small temples, Heidelberg, Germany was #1 with 816 book points. Sankirtana-yajna ki-jaya! Your servant, Vijaya das

Rishikesh Kirtan Fest 2025, March 5, workshop with H.H.Sacinandana Swami
H.H. Sacinandana Swami’s workshop at Rishikesh Kirtan Fest 2025 explores the deeper aspects of kirtan. He emphasizes gathering the mind, body, and heart for chanting, overcoming ego, and accessing spiritual love. Through breathwork, posture, and focused intention, participants move beyond the material self into devotion. The session includes guided chanting and reflections on divine connection.

Why attend Sadhu Sanga?
Sadhu Sanga Retreat is a powerful gathering where devotees unite to chant, associate, and uplift each other spiritually. With over 2,000 participants, it fosters deep Krishna consciousness, offering inspiration and support in devotion. While bhakti can be practiced at home, the collective energy of this festival elevates spiritual growth. Attending in person provides an unmatched transformative experience.

Yayāti cursed the dynasty of these Yādavas, and ever since then they have been ostracized by honest men and addicted to liquor. How, then, does Kṛṣṇa deserve to be worshiped?
Purport
Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī gives the inner meaning of the words of Śiśupāla to show how he continued unintentionally glorifying Lord Kṛṣṇa and His Yadu dynasty: “Even though the Yadus were cursed by Yayāti, they have been relieved [bahis-kṛtam] of this curse by great saints, and consequently they have been raised to a position of royal sovereignty by such persons as Kārtavīrya. Thus they have become absorbed in pāna, protecting the earth. Considering all this, how does Kṛṣṇa, the chief of the Yadus, deserve useless [vṛthā] worship? Rather, He deserves opulent worship.”

Translation
The means of livelihood of all persons, namely production of grains and their distribution to the prajās, was generated from the thighs of the Lord’s gigantic form. The mercantile men who take charge of such execution are called vaiśyas.
Purport
Human society’s means of living is clearly mentioned here as viśa, or agriculture and the business of distributing agricultural products, which involves transport, banking, etc. Industry is an artificial means of livelihood, and large-scale industry especially is the source of all the problems of society. In Bhagavad-gītā also the duties of the vaiśyas, who are engaged in viśa, are stated as cow protection, agriculture and business. We have already discussed that the human being can safely depend on the cow and agricultural land for his livelihood.
The exchange of produce by banking and transportation is a branch of this type of living. The vaiśyas are divided into many subsections: some of them are called kṣetrī, or landowners, some are called kṛṣaṇa, or land tillers, some of them are called tila-vaṇik, or grain raisers, some are called gandha-vaṇik, or merchants in spices, and some are called suvarṇa-vaṇik, or merchants in gold and banking. The brāhmaṇas are the teachers and spiritual masters, the kṣatriyas protect the citizens from the hands of thieves and miscreants, and the vaiśyas are in charge of production and distribution. The śūdras, the unintelligent class of men who cannot act independently in any of the above-mentioned activities, are meant for serving the three higher classes for their livelihood.
Formerly, the brāhmaṇas were given all the necessities of life by the kṣatriyas and vaiśyas because they had no time to spend making a living. The kṣatriyas would collect taxes from the vaiśyas and śūdras, but the brāhmaṇas were exempt from paying income tax or land revenue. That system of human society was so nice that there were no political, social and economic upheavals. The different castes, or varṇa classifications, are therefore essential for maintaining a peaceful human society.
