Golden Jubilee Vraj Mandal Parikrama – Day 2: Talvan & Kumudvan
Two miles west of Talvan is Kumudvan, which presently goes by the name Kudaravan. The kund here is called by different names as either Kumudini Kund ,Padma kunda or Vihar Kund. While herding the cows, Shri Krishna, Shri Balram and the cowherd boys wandered throughout this delightful place. Shri Krishna Himself sported in this kund with the cowherd boys and with sweet words He would summon the cows to the bank of the pond by exclaiming, “Tiri tiri!” And then with “Chun-Chun!” He would tell them to drink water. The boys decorated each other with garlands made of kumudini flowers. Sometimes Krishna hid from His sakhas and, unseen by them, He sported in the water here with Radhika, Lalita, Vishakha and other Gopis. There is currently a deity of Shri Kapiladev on the bank of this kund. Lord Kapila worshipped Shri Krishna at this place.

Sharing Krishna consciousness is the highest service, and Lord Caitanya’s mercy is unparalleled in delivering all souls.

HG Mahatma Prabhu: We know that all power comes from Krishna, yet we want to grab some of the glory that comes with it. Harry S. Truman said: “It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.” Name, Fame, Glory, it’s the same old story!

HH Devamrita Swami – Cow protection
Thereafter, Pṛṣadhra gained relief from all responsibilities, became peaceful in mind, and established control over all his senses. Being unaffected by material conditions, being pleased with whatever was available by the grace of the Lord to maintain body and soul together, and being equal toward everyone, he gave full attention to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Vāsudeva, who is the transcendental Supersoul, free from material contamination.

“The GBC expresses appreciation and support to the Gift Prabhupada project team for reaching out to hundreds of Srila Prabhupada’s disciples worldwide with a personalized offering of gratitude for their lifelong commitment to Srila Prabhupada and his mission.
“The gift — a miniature lifelike brass murti of Srila Prabhupada in a box with a fragment of the jackfruit tree under which Srila Prabhupada was born and a profound quote from his letter — is a deeply significant memento that inspires Srila Prabhupada’s disciples in their relationships with him.
“The GBC offers the Gift Prabhupada project their blessings for its success in achieving its goal to extend Srila Prabhupada’s presence — both in his murti form and in his spirit of care and affection — to all Srila Prabhupada’s disciples and encourages ISKCON devotees worldwide to participate in this important effort”.

The great Lord Umāpati is known as “he who is quickly pleased”
Śālva worshiped Lord Śiva, who is famous as Āśutoṣa, “one who is quickly satisfied.” And yet Lord Śiva did not come to Śālva for an entire year because, being bhagavān, a great, all-knowing personality, he understood that any benediction given to Lord Kṛṣṇa’s enemy would be fruitless. Still, as stated by the words śaraṇam āgatam, Śālva had come to Lord Śiva for shelter, and thus to maintain the standard principle that a worshiper receives a benediction, Lord Śiva offered one to Śālva.
