Very sad to share this devastating news, yesterday in the earthquake in Mandalay, Myanmar(Burma) we lost a dear devotee named Ravi prabhuji, he is the son-in-law of late H. G. Madhavanand prabhuji and Nistha Rani Radha mataji, who are the pioneers of ISKCON Myanmar, mataji is the treasurer of ISKCON Myanmar and late Shri Madhavanand prabhuji was the founding member of ISKCON Myanmar.
Ravi prabhuji’s wife Sri Gandharvika mataji is also a council member in the ISKCON Myanmar’s management. Ravi prabhuji was in a hotel in Mandalay for his business meeting, where one of the wall besides him fall on him. All the family members were in Yangon and came to know about this tragic incident late in the evening, the airport is shut and the roads are also broken, but somehow Nistha Rani Radha mataji, Sri Gandharvika mataji and other family members have left by road to Mandalay early this morning.
Ravi prabhuji was a very humble, kind and simple devotee, always wanting to serve the devotees, recently they had come to India for the Kumbh mela and I had a talk with him on a telephone. Ravi prabhuji was 39 years old and left behind 2 young kids.
