The Govardhan Hill was the centre of attraction. As one circumambulated the Hill, one could feast their eyes on the lush greenery, the beautiful kunds, the cows and peacocks, many birds flying above, the temples on the parikrama marg, devotees in kirtan, and more.
The Govardhan Hill at ISKCON Convention Centre, Bangalore put together by devotees was 10 feet in length and a height of 3 feet. A big surprise for devotees and guests who came to the temple for Govardhan Puja. One could relive the breathtaking beauty of the original Govardhan Hill. Minute details including Airavata’s footprints, Gval Pokhara with Krishna and the gopas, cows grazing, bullock carts, birds drinking water at a kund, etc made it near picture perfect. Thanks to HG Shivatma Govinda Das, HG Subhadra Priya DD, Mangala Priya DD, Abhi and group for this wonderful treat.
Festivities included Go-puja, abhishekam, narration of Govardhan Puja pastimes by His Holiness Bhakti Nityananda Swami, Mahaarti, kirtan and a sumptuous prasadam feast.
