Kripa Sindhu Krishna Dasa: Sri Jagannatha Mandir, ISKCON Malaysia Headquarters invites everyone to the 2014 Annual Jagannatha Ratha Yatra on Saturday, 4 January.
Their Lordships Sri Sri Jagannatha, Baladeva, Subhadra Devi and Sudarshan will go on a chariot procession beginning at 4.15PM from Sri Kandaswamy temple, Jalan Scott, Brickfields passing through Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad, Jalan Tun Sambanthan and Jalan Thambipillai. Procession will end at Kandiah Hall (SRJK(T) Vivekananda) at 7:30PM with spiritual addresses, sumptuous prasadam , devotional songs and dances.
Please mark your calendars and attend this festival of spiritual joy and happiness with your family members and friends. One cannot under estimate the countless benefits in attending the Lord Jagannatha Ratha Yatra. Even a glimpse of Lord Jagannatha on the chariot is considered to be very auspicious. And just by touching the chariot or by pulling the ropes attached to the chariot one can be bestowed the results of several pious deeds or penances for ages. Anyone who pulls Lord Jagannatha’s chariot is guaranteed liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
