We’re looking for a pujari husband/wife couple (or a single person) to do pujari service here in Prabhupada Village–Sandy Ridge North Carolina.
Prabhupada Village is a rural community about 45 miles north of Greensboro, North Carolina. You can see the Prabhupada Village web site here.
The principle responsibilities for the devotee(s) doing this service are:
1) Pujari services
2) cooking
The devotee candidate for this service should:
1) be twice initiated
2) have been trained in an ISKCON temple and have a clear understanding of the guidelines and principles that Srila Prabhupada established for deity worship in his temples, specifically cleanliness and punctuality.
4) should have commitment and dedication to Srila Prabhupada and his ISKCON Mission.
5) have exemplary personal spiritual practices/sadhana, moral conduct, and be a team player–able to cooperate/work with others
6) have good references
We will provide room and board as required.
There is facility in Prabhupada Village for gardening, growing vegetables, and other potential agricultural and prasadam-related business opportunities.
A painting of the original Sri Pancha-Tattva (seen at the bottom of this email) is the presiding deity here now. Sri Sri Gaura Nitai will be installed on Gaura Purnima-March 16, 2014 (please click here for more details).
