Denpasar, January 5, 2014, H.H.Subhag Swami Maharaja was invited to give a seminar by Mahendradatta University. The seminar started at 17.00 o’clock local time. There were 150 lectures and students attended the seminar.
“…it is nice that you are infiltrating into the schools and colleges. These are the best customers for our philosophy. Give them nice philosophy…” (letter: SPL to Danavir, 12 December,1971).
Srila Prbhupada stated in his other letter,”…. If these book are introduced in the school and colleges, so many beautiful soul will be saved.” SPL to Nayanabhirama, 1 December 1970.
Maharaja arrived at 16.45. The vice rector III of Mahendradatta university personally welcomed Maharaja in his office. The students waited in the hall while the devotees were doing bhajan. The students formally welcomed H. H. Subhag Swami into auditorium which was almost full packed with around 150 delegates, mostly students and lectures of the University. When Maharaja arrived in the hall all students rose from their place and gave special respect to the mahraja.
The seminar started by formal ceremonial. Then the vice rector gave special speech to introduce the mission and vision of his university to the audience. After the ceremonial finished, Maharaj started the seminar. Maharaja explained the Bhagavad-gita from science’s point of view. The students followed the seminar attentively. Some of them already have Bhagavad-gita As It Is. They listened the seminar attentively. Maharaja gave seminar for one and half hours. Many raised questions during the question and answer session expressing their eagerness to learn from Maharaj. Maharaj smashed all their mundane ideologies through scholarly reasoning and captivated their hearts by beautiful analogies. Maharaja closed the seminar by leading chanting Hare Krishna Mahamantra. All students were ecstasy singing Hare Krishna Mahamantra.
After the seminar, the students were invited to the book display. They bought Bhagavad- gita as it is and others Srila Prbhupada s’ books. Then Maharja Personally gave signature to the book. The student also had opportunity to take picture with Maharaj. Some students asked the devotees further questions related to Bhagavad-gita. All students were given prasadam and became happy. The staffs and students of the University including the rector were so much impressed that they feelingly approached Maharaj and submitted their request to him to kindly visit their University whenever he comes to Bali
