The sound of hundreds of joyful young voices filled the air as the students and teachers of Sri Mayapur International School welcomed H.H Jayapataka Maharaja and H.H Gopal Krishna Maharaja to the school on Wednesday 13th May. H.H Jayapataka Swami captured the students’ attention with his beautiful retelling of different pastimes of Nimai Pandit. Later that day, H.H Gopal Krishna Maharaja spent time answering different questions from the students. Both Maharajas spoke about the benefits of residing in Sri Dham Mayapur and receiving a spiritual education in the association of devotees.
As part of the schools Krishna conscious curriculum , SMIS students regularly get the opportunity to hear from senior ISKCON leaders who reciprocate with the children’s enthusiasm. Upon hearing the students’ kirtan when he arrived at the school, Jayapataka Maharaja immediately stood up and began dancing as he entered the school gate and saw the children.
