Eric Johanson: Devotees are invited to discuss and learn about climate change in the context of Krishna consciousness at the Bhaktivedanta Climate Change Collaboration Group website.
Loosely modeled after the Bhaktivedanta Institute, the group aims to provide a forum for devotees to discuss climate change. Rather than limiting content to academic or scientific efforts and debate, however, anything related to preaching, rural farm communities, etc. has a place, as long as it connects with the phenomena of climate change. Our introductory article utilizes material from a number of academic disciplines – political science, economics, linguistics, Indo-European studies and, of course, climate science – so we hope that this sort of free-ranging content will encourage similar diversity.
