1. Gopal dasa- initiated by HDG AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1974 in Dallas, Texas peacefully left his body today at noon. Srila Prabhupada was chanting japa for him in his room and his wife Bhaktin Dana was present. Few devotees did kirtan for him in the hospital before he left……his body was cleaned, dressed and decorated with tilak markings, the hare Krishna mahamantra and a special Narsingha pavitra adorning his neck.
2. Cremation is scheduled for 1:20 pm tomorrow( Sunday) at Shaw and davis crematorium located on 34 west 2nd Avenue. I am humbly requesting all the devotees to come for cremation tomorrow at 1230 PM. We will do kirtan from 1230 to 1330 for one hour. Devotees, please plan to come if you can.
3. Gopal prabhu was one of the biggest book distributors in the world from 1974 to 1994. He lived in Dallas, TX from 1994-2004 one block away from the temple. In 2004, he moved to Ohio due to his failing health and lived in Beverly, Ohio until last week when he was admitted to the hospital with end stage liver disease
