Hare Krishna!
The WORLD HOLY NAME FESTIVAL is back for this year… the time to simply chant, dance and inspire others to join the same… here is what Srila Prabhupada says….
… I started my movement simply by chanting Hare Krishna. I chanted in New York in a place called Tompkins Square Park, and soon people began to come to me. In this way, the Krishna consciousness movement gradually developed. The Science of Self-Realization
Chanting of the Holy Names is the very foundation and root of our movement and thus it’s our everyday service yet during this auspicious festival time we have greater opportunity to chant more and engage many others in chanting the Holy Name.
Following events are planned by our WHNF team coordinated by Amal Mahaprabhu pr and assisted by Madhav seva pr, Daya Sindhu pr, Manjunath pr, Tushar pr and all PDC devotees.

1. KIRTANS: organized by HG Daya Sindhu pr & team
a. 5TH SEP 24 HOUR KIRTAN
b. 7TH SEP 12 HOUR KIRTAN
c. 13th SEP – 12 hour kirtan
d. 14th SEP – kids kirtan MELA (Sunday)
e. 15th SEP – 12 hour kirtan
2. 24 hour japa on the auspicious occasion of Srila Haridas Thakur disappearance day— New Launch this year…
a. We are planing to decorate temple with some quotes on chanting, picture
of haridas thakur and barricade some space for 24 HOUR JAPA. This will be facility in which any devotee can come and sit at any time of the day and chant hare krishna. We will be keeping some fruits and juice for these devotees who will participate in this japa yajna.
b. Starts 12am 7th sep and ends 12am 8th sep
c. For inspiring new people there will be desk setup for giving beads and
requesting them to chant
3. Harinam’s in colonies every evening from 9th to 15th sep.
If you wish to invite us to your place or fix some place for Harinam… kindly mail to agd@voicepune.com & rptd@voicepune.com . Harinam schedule will be fixed on first come, first request basis…
4. 108 steps – we will request people to chant on these steps.
On Parikrama marg, we’ll set up 108 steps to encourage people to chant atleast 1 round of HK MM.
5. Sales of Paropkar kit @ Rs 50 which will contain:
a. 1 Japa mala
b. 2 Harinam book to write HK MM
c. Car hanging card
d. 10 stickers
e. 1 badge
please take as many as you wish and use the contents to shower the mercy of Holy Name upon all puneites. HUMBLE REQUEST: kindly do not stick the stickers in temple campus anywhere.
6. Japathon card distribution to VOICE, congregation and brahmacaris and
to visitors.
More than the previous year, this year we have the target of chanting 1.18billion Holy names in 10days!! This time we will be collecting the cards through counselors and counselors scoring maximum in Japathon will receive a TROPHY…. Individual highest scorers also will receive prizes from the lotus hands of HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj and HH Loknath Swami Maharaj.
7. Game on ‘Gather hare krsna together’ – only on sat and Sunday.
8. CHANT & WIN THE TROPHIES:>
a. To Counselor scoring max Japathon rounds with counselles
b. To Counselor getting max HN books filled along with counselees
c. To the VOICE getting max Japathon rounds
These 3 trophies will be kept in display of devotees during 5th to 14th sep.
Individual gifts:
a. Devotees chanting more than 100 rounds on 24 hour japa day
b. Devotees chanting more than 300 rounds in japathon
c. Top 108 devotees in japathon and
d. for those who will get max holy name books filled.
