“When we do things on a superficial level, disturbances will always affect us. But if we find deep, inner fulfilment, external troubles can’t change us. Only a house built on shifting sand would be affected by storms.” This was the message Radhanath Swami shared with over hundred CEO’s and HR heads of various companies at the Chief Learning Officer’s (CLO) summit at the Four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai, on 10th October’ 2014.
The summit is India’s premier platform for leaders in corporate learning and leadership development. The two-day event was organized by LeapVault, a leading executive development & knowledge media company.
Amongst the other guests of honour were Shri Piyush Goyal, the Honorable Minister with the Government of India, and Mrs. Rajashree Birla, the Chairperson of The Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development.
Quoting the Bhagavad-gita, Radhanath Swami highlighted the role of leaders in the society, “Krishna says in the Gita that what leaders do, common men follow. If a leader is humble and grateful, he’d recognize his abilities as a gift of God, and as a humble instrument in the hands of God, he’d use them for service of others”
Radhanath Swami also met Mr. K. V. Srinivasan, CEO of Reliance Commercial Finance and Dr. Tony O’Driscoll, the Executive Director of Duke CE. Mr. Kumar Bagrodia, CEO of LeapVault, presented Radhanath Swami a memento in honor of his contribution to the summit.
