Recently Sri Radha Madanmohan temple at ISKCON Navi Mumbai, India took the major initiative of conducting ‘Bhakti Vardhan’ program on second Saturday of every month. The Bhakti Vardhan event brings all Navi Mumbai devotees on a common platform with the objective of developing the strong congregation to nicely serve Sri Radha Madanmohanji in the new temple complex – the Glory of Maharashtra project. Interestingly the second Saturday on 9th May 2015 coincided with 400th Anniversary of Sri Chaitanya Charitamritam and it was decided to celebrate it along with monthly Bhakti Vardhan program on the same evening.
Glorifying Sri Chaitanya Charitamritam (CC) by celebrating its 400thanniversary on Saturday 9th May 2015 was a unique program organized by ISKCON Navi Mumbai, India. The Chief Guest H.G. Bhima Prabhu, BBT Trustee along with H.H. Amiya Vilas Swami Maharaja; H.G. Surdas Prabhu, Temple President of ISKCON Navi Mumbai and H.G. Vaishnavanghri Sevaka Das addressed a large gathering of devotees on this occasion. Glories of CC and its author Srila Krishna dasa kaviraja Goswami as narrated by the speakers showered the nectar of peace and happiness experienced by all devotees present. Pooja offerings with cutting a special cake in front of Srila Krishna dasa kaviraja Goswami and Srila Prabupada spread the auspiciousness and joy all over.
The announcement about completing translation of Srila Prabhupada’s CC in English into Telugu (a South Indian language) by H.G. Vaishnavanghri Sevaka Das, a very humble disciple of H.H. Gopala Krishna Goswami Maharaja, made everyone feel very special with Vaishnavanghri Prabhuji in their midst motivating to serve Sri Guru and Gauranga. On this auspicious occasion the temple arranged for distribution of CC sets and two dozen of CC sets were purchased by the devotees who received the same from H.H. Amiya Vilas Maharaja and H.G. Bhima Prabhu with special blessings. A very melodious 12 stanza video song (in Telugu with English subtitles) composed in glorification of CC by H.G. Vaishnavanghri Sevaka Das rendered with very pleasant Karnatic music and singing by Dr. Venukapalli Thirupathiah was enjoyed by all devotees along with the feasting of Sri Radha Madanmohanji’s sumptuous prasadam.
