A new expedition to purchase the best of best for Srila Prabhupada’s vision has commenced. Sadbhuja Prabhu is traveling from through Europe to see the most unique marbles.
This red marble, named Rouge de Saint-Pons, is found in Southern France, Saint Pons de Thormieres in Marble de France’s mines.
We can see the marble at it’s block form on picture 1 and 2.
Once cut and polished, it will have the lively red shade as showed in picture 3 and 4.
We then have the Bolivian blue marble, stocked in Italy, that will be used in the finishing work on the altars. Picture 5 and 6.
This is also a very prestigious marble, rare for it’s blue color.
