Kavicandra Swami: Devotees serve sanctified food (prasadam) to the thousands of guests at the annual Shantipur festival.
The Shantipur Festival is celebrated in the house of Advaita Acarya, one of the four main associates of Sri Chaitanya, the pioneer of Gaudiya Vaishnavism.
The event is a very attractive to the devotees, as Vaishnava scriptures say that anyone who gives or receives prasadam (sacred food) during the festival is guaranteed love of God.
