ISKCON’s 50th anniversary committee launched a new look website last week with the aim of making it more user-friendly and to make up-to-date information much more accessible.
“The ISKCON 50 website acts like a communication hub for all news and resources that can help our temples celebrate the 50th anniversary properly,” explained Romapada Das, International Coordinator for the 50th anniversary. “In particular, we urge temples to visit the resources section of our website from where they can download logos, posters, exhibition panels, powerpoint slides and scripts for plays. These resources will help you create a big visual impact for the 50th anniversary for your local festivals and celebrations.”
The 50th Anniversary Committee had earlier advised all temples to 50-ise their regular festivals with the aid of the resources that have been created specially for local use.
“It really is quite simple,” commented Anuttama Das, GBC Minister for Communications and a member of the International Executive Committee for the 50th anniversary. “You can print most of these resources locally, and use them during your festivals such as Janmashtami and Ratha Yatra. You can display our posters, exhibition panels and logos at prominent places around the temple campus. You can also 50-ise your celebrations by screening the special 50th anniversary film and by distributing the ISKCON 50th anniversary magazine, both of which showcase ISKCON’s achievements in the last 50 years in an appealing manner.”
