
Vancouver’s 34th Annual
“Chariot Festival” Jagannatha Ratha-Yatra
will take place on
Sunday August 12th
in Stanley Park at Second Beach.
The “Chariot Parade” Ratha-Yatra
will begin at 11:30 AM from under the Granville St Bridge
on Beach Ave and proceed along Beach Ave
to Second Beach in Stanley Park.
The “Festival of India”
will begin after the Parade
at 1:00 PM in Stanley Park at Second Beach
The Festival of India will include Live Entertainment on Two Stage Featuring
Bhartnatyam Dances, Live Theatre and Music Yoga & Meditation, Puppet Theatre, Balloon Artists, Gift Shop & Books, Mendhi Hand Tattoos, Face Painting, Palmistry, Children’s Fun Tents and much more.
A Free Vegetarian Feast will be served throughout the day to an estimated 10,000 guests
A special parking shuttle bus will operate throughout the day to take festival goers from the festival site back to their parked cars along Beach Ave.
