Activities of IYF Vrindavan.
The ISKCON Vrindavan Youth Forum, a department of Krishna Balaram Mandir conducting courses and programs for preaching to the youth, has been working extensively to spread the glories of Krishna consciousness amongst the younger generation and bless them with the transcendental knowledge that Srila Prabhupada has so mercifully bestowed upon us. The endeavors of this department has given the students, of schools such as Banke Bihari Sanskrit Vidyalay and others, an opportunity to understand the Upadeshamrita in a 5 day course, teaching the basics of this wonderful book written by Srila Rupa Goswami for the benefit of mankind. Students of Sukhada Shiksha Mandir were given a course on the introduction to Bhagawat Gita, thus imparting upon them the knowledge that can in the future inspire them to take up Krishna consciousness very seriously. These students were provided with transcendental literatures like Upadeshamrita and Bhagwat Gita and were given discourses on these subject matters by senior devotees of the temple like the President, H.G. Pancagauda prabhu, H.G. Radhakund mataji, H.G. Radha Shyamsundar prabhu, H.G. Ramakant prabhu and many others. The courses were concluded by awarding all the students a certificate for their participation in the event. The initiative of this department has seen special success, to the extent that two member of the IYF department have taken formal initiation and started on their path of bhakti, which is a true inspiration and motivation to continue the good work that the IYF is carrying out. Along with this, on the auspicious occasion of the 68th Vyasa puja of H.H. Jaypataka maharaj, 68 students from various local schools were gifted Bhagavad gitas and attended a special program aiming at making them potential devotees. In this way the Iskcon youth forum is working towards the goal of educating the younger generation about the science of bhakti, so that all these young children can make their lives sublime and full of bliss by taking up this most wonderful process of Krishna consciousness under the guidance of the followers of Srila Prabhupada, who, fulfilling the desires of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and his Gurumaharaj Shrila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur Prabhupada, inundated the entire world with Harinam sankirtan in this age of kali.
