Cremation ceremony for Braja Vallabhi dasi.
Indradyumna Swami: Yesterday we had the cremation ceremony for Braja Vallabhi dasi on the bank of the Yamuna river. Three hundred devotees attended. Just as the fire began, a cow appeared and stayed with us for several hours. It was a sign of great auspiciousness. Devotees who live in Vrindavan are invited to her memorial service at 11 a.m. tomorrow ( Wednesday ) in the Balarama Hall at the Krsna Balarama Mandir. We will have kirtan and devotees will share their memories of Braja Vallabhi dasi. A sumptuous feast will be served at 2 p.m. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Govinda Swami: This morning at 09:30 we took Braja Vallabhi to the Yamuna.
First we visited Krishna Balaram Mandir where she could lay her head in obeisance to Srila Prabhupada and Their Lordship.
Then kirtan procession to the Yamuna.
The day was beautiful, sunny, with slight haze.
We walked along the parikrama marg, turned right at the last lane before Kesighat, stopped outside Radha Ramanji, crossed Gopinath Bazaar, Vamsi Vat, and on to the cremation ghat.
Saci Gaurasundara Dasa, and Saranga Thakur directed the rituals.
Braja Vallabhi was bathed in the Yamuna, and placed upon the funeral pyre, covered with auspicious substances and ghee.
Padmanabha Goswami came and offered maha prasadam items from Radha Ramanji.
Then her father, Sakhi Rai, lit the fire.
As we sat on the banks of the Yamuna, Ramai Pandit sang beautiful kirtans and we all joined the chanting.
The fire blazed, and consumed the mortal remains of Braja Vallabhi.
The ashes were placed in the Yamuna and the glowing embers were extinguished by Her dark waters.

All glories to her effulgent character, her enthusiastic service mood, and her deep faith and devotion to her guru maharaja.
