Sankarshan Das Adhikari: On the order of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, we are on a mission to save the world. It is very painful for us to see a world in which 156 million innocent animals are murdered every day so that people can satisfy their lusty desires to relish the taste of flesh and blood. And it is even more painful to see a world in which 66 thousand innocent babies are murdered every day with the sanction of our present day world’s governments so that people can enjoy having sex without being bothered with having to raise and protect the children that they produce. The bottom line is that we are not living in a human society. We are living in an animal society. Therefore our mission is to turn the animals into human beings. We do not know whether or not we will be successful in carrying out this order that we have received to save the world. But whether we are successful or not in saving the world, it is our most sacred duty to try to do so. At least by our making this endeavor our lives will be perfect and anyone who follows us will also be perfect. And if by the special mercy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu we are successful in our mission, it will be the greatest and most glorious paradigm shift that has ever transpired in the history of our universe. So let’s try for it and see what happens. What could be a more ecstatic life than this?
