The first, small but wonderful, Rathayatra in Reunion Island (Album with photos)
Bhakti Chaitanya Swami: We are now on Reunion Island, part of France, although it is deep in the Indian Ocean, near Mauritius. Saturday was a really historic day. We had the first Rathayatra ever on Reunion. The small congregation of devotees here came together, under the direction of Dayanidhi prabhu and put on a small but wonderful festival. The best part was taking the Deities with kirtana right down the main street of the small city, St Pierre, where the festival was held.
