For those of you who are not yet aware of our project, Vaisnavas C.A.R.E., Inc. (Counseling, Assistance, Resource, and Education for the Terminally ill and Their Families), we are a non-profit organization formed by disciples of Srila Prabhupada in 2001 to assist devotees with end-of-life, hospice needs. We have a network of devotees worldwide who volunteer in many capacities. Among other services, we provide basic, hospice training seminars to meet the growing needs in our ISKCON society. Recently it has come to our attention that some devotees may be misrepresenting themselves as Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. volunteers, scheduling training seminars, and collecting funds in the name of Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. has determined that a minimum standard of education and training as well as professional licensing must be established for those who present hospice seminars or organize and train “care teams.”
In order to ensure the highest level of care for our vaisanva society, we ask that you kindly contact us at one of the emails below if a devotee approaches your temple or community as a Vaisnavas C.A.R.E. representative and educator.
